The "Hell Camino" Terry Lutz writes,"This is my 1986 El Camino SS. It's a common myth that all '86 SS's had the Laguna front spoiler like the Monte Carlo but this is not true. Mine has the stock front end with all the SS performance parts. It has a 305 ci V-8 with a turbo 350 transmission. I had true dual exhaust put on it and a set of 40 series flowmasters installed (the loud ones). Basically it has the stock engine, and it still purs like a kitten even after 150,000 miles. We had to cut the front fenderwell to accommodate a set of 245/65/15 Hoosier tires. I also ditched the front airdam because it was always scrubbing and really served no purpose. I've got a set of 15 inch Progressive 5 star wheels on it. I had it painted this summer and instead of putting those stupid looking El Camino SS decals on the side I bought some 1983 SUPER SPORT decals on the sides and tailgate. That's about it I hope you like my 'Hell Camino'!"
